Spokane, Wash. — Pig Out in the Park officially kicks off today at Riverfront Park, and downtown Spokane is about to smell really, really good.
For the next five days, Riverfront Park will turn into one big food and music festival — with 65 food booths, 250 menu items, 45 market vendors, four adult beverage gardens, and 100 free concerts on four stages. And yes, admission is still completely free.
If you’re looking to taste your way through the park, the Small Bites deal is back. From 3–5 p.m. and 8–10 p.m. every day, you can grab select dishes for just $6 each. It’s the perfect excuse to try something new without blowing your budget.
And the food? It’s as local and family-run as it gets.
Sarah Booth, who owns Bibby Booth with her husband, says they’ll be serving up New York–style Italian sausages, garlic fries, and fresh lemonade.
Then there’s the Kennedy family, who have been roasting corn and baking potatoes at Pig Out for three decades. John Kennedy and his son Dan are running four booths this year, keeping their family tradition alive. “We’ve been doing this for 30 years,” John said, adding that they love being part of what’s become a Spokane tradition.
Between the food, the music, and the park itself, organizers say Pig Out in the Park has something for everyone — whether you’re making it a family night out, catching live bands with friends, or just stopping by on your lunch break.
The festival runs 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily through Labor Day.
So grab your appetite, bring the kids, and get ready to pig out — because with so much to choose from, you’ll never eat it all.
