ST MARIES, Idaho – One juvenile was killed, and a driver was injured in a vehicle fire in Benewah County, Idaho Sunday.
Idaho State Police say it happened just after 1 pm on Reeds Creek Road, east of St. Maries.
The driver, a 60-year-old man from St. Maries, was taken by helicopter to the hospital with serious injuries. A juvenile passenger died at the scene; another juvenile in the car was not hurt.
Idaho State Police did not specify the ages of the juveniles.
The road was closed for about four hours. Idaho State Police are investigating what caused the fire.
