COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Back to school is right around the corner for Coeur d’Alene families, and the Coeur d’Alene Police Department wants to remind drivers to be safe on the roads.
The first day of school for K-12 schools in the Coeur d’Alene School District is September 2.
Police say with the increased activity of children walking and biking near schools, drivers should allow extra travel time, slow down and use caution, especially in school zones.
Police officers and school resource officers will be focusing on traffic enforcement during the first few weeks of school to remind drivers to slow down and obey the traffic laws.
