PULLMAN, Wash – It’s early in the season and it’s no longer a conference game, but football fans in Washington still get fired up for the Apple Cup.
Washington State Football announced Thursday this year’s game against the University of Washington is sold out.
The Cougs host the Huskies September 20 in Pullman. The game is at 4:30 p.m. on CBS.
It’s the second Apple Cup since UW left the Pac-12 for the Big Ten.
The Huskies lead the series 76-34, with six ties in the 116 iterations of the Apple Cup.
The Apple Cup trophy resides in Pullman, though.
The Cougs beat the Huskies 24-19 at Lumen Field.
The Apple Cup will be the fourth game for the Cougs and the third of the season for the Huskies.
