ADAMS COUNTY, Wash. — An Othello man was arrested for eluding police on a motorcycle on S Highway 17 late Friday morning.
According to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Othello Police tried to stop 19-year-old Isaid Chavez-Cardenas around 11 a.m. Chavez-Cardenas left the city and went southbound on S Highway 17.
Deputies followed Chavez-Cardenas, who then drove to Highway 24 and entered Franklin County.
Around 2 and a half hours later, someone contacted the Adams County Sheriff’s Office saying there was an abandoned motorcycle about a mile and a half south of the county line.
Deputies went out to the area and confirmed it was the same motorcycle.
Chavez-Cardenas was arrested for attempting to elude a police vehicle. He was booked into jail.
