SPOKANE, Wash. — The memorial service for the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant killed while helping remove a hay bale from I-90 near the Four Lakes exit is set for next week.
The service for Sgt. Ken Salas is happening on Wednesday, August 20 at 1 p.m. at the Spokane Convention Center.
The Sheriff’s Office says the service is open to the public, but public seating is limited.
A memorial service procession will also take place for Sgt. Salas. Information about the procession route will be released in the coming days.
Sgt. Salas worked for the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office for over 30 years. He also served for over 2 decades in the U.S. Air Force and the Washington Air National Guard.
