OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash. — Pacific Northwest Team 3 took charge Wednesday of multiple wildfires on the Colville Reservation.
According to DNR, crews continued building and improving direct and indirect containment lines Wednesday.
The Kinkaid Creek Complex is made up of two main fires: The Kinkaid Creek Fire and the South Nanamkin Fire.
As of Wednesday, 6:18 p.m., DNR said the Kinkaid Creek Fire is estimated to be 217 acres. The South Nanamkin Fire is estimated to be 80 acres.
The Kinkaid Creek Fire is at 15% containment and the South Nanamkin Fire is at 60%
Both fires were caused by lightning.
There are currently no evacuations or road closures in place for these fires.
