COUER D’ALENE, Idaho — Local law enforcement wants to make sure you know the latest teen drug-use trends to help keep your family safe.
On August 14, CDA Police Department and Kootenai County Juvenile Probation will host a workshop entitled, “The New Highs: What Teens are Using and What You Need to Know.”
The program is designed for parents of teens and will discuss what drugs are most common, the signs and symptoms of drug-use and how to intervene before it’s too late.
“Teen drug use is changing fast and becoming more dangerous by the day,” reads an announcement for the program. “Fentanyl-laced pills, vape devices, and social media drug deals are putting our teens at risk of overdose, addiction and legal problem.”
The event will run from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. and take place at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library in the downstairs community room (702 E. Front Ave.)
