COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — The Coeur d’Alene Cider Company has announced its permanent closure in light of the death of the owner’s husband.
Jill Morrison made the announcement on Facebook that Friday, August 1 will be the cidery’s last day.
Morrison’s husband, John, along with Frank Harwood were both shot and killed while responding to a wildfire on Canfield Mountain in June. Dave Tysdal was severely injured and is currently recovering.
In the announcement, Morrison said in part, “I wish I could keep it going, but life has changed, and I no longer have it in me to run it the way it deserves.”
Coeur d’Alene Cider Company will be open Wednesday-Friday this week with closing specials. You can read Morrison’s full statement below.
