OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash. — UPDATED 7:30 p.m., July 30 – Nespelem Valley Electric shut off power to certain areas Wednesday night due to a transmission line pole damaged in the wildfire burning near Nespelem.
Affected areas include Nespelem, Colville Agency, Buffalo Lake Road, Owhi Flats and Joe Moses Road.
Okanogan County Emergency Management said people in those areas should prepare for an extended outage.
As of 7:30 p.m., Level 2 (GET SET) and Level 1 (BE READY) evacuations are still in place for the Kaiser Canyon Fire. Click HERE for the latest evacuation map.

Evacuations are in place for a wildfire burning near Nespelem on Wednesday evening, according to Okanogan County Emergency Management.
Around 5:15 p.m. on July 30, evacuations were issued for a roughly 500-acre wildfire, also being called the ‘Kaiser Canyon Fire’ burning one mile south of Colville Tribal Agency.
As of 5:45 p.m., Level 2 (GET SET) and Level 1 (BE SET) evacuations are in place for the surrounding area. Click HERE for the latest evacuation map.
OCEM said State Route 155 is closed from Lower Columbia River Road south to Peter Dan Road.
