SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A French foreign exchange student who had been visiting Spokane Valley ran away from her host family early Monday morning, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
Deputies received a call just after 8:00 a.m. regarding the disappearance of 16-year-old Mathilde Le Loc’h, with reports that she left the house around 3:40 a.m.
Investigators said Le Loc’h knew she was scheduled to fly back to France this morning at around 11:30 a.m.
She was last seen near Sullivan and 22nd Ave.
Le Loc’h was last known to be wearing a red sweater, blue jeans, tennis shoes, and carrying a tan canvas backpack.
She does not have her passport or her belongings, and her tour group had to fly back home without her.
