POST FALLS, Idaho — The community is coming together to support the families of the fallen and injured firefighters from the June Canfield Mountain ambush.
On July 27, Kootenai County Fire and Rescue, along with Coeur d’Alene Fire Department will host the Community Rises benefit to honor the heroes injured and killed during the June 29 firefighter ambush.
The event will take place at Stateline Speedway (1349 N. Beck Road) and will feature a concert and silent and live auction and will be hosted by 4 News Now Extreme Team’s Mark Peterson.
The concert will include performances from The Copper Mountain Band, Payton Rae, Tamarack Ridge and more.
Kids under 10 get in free.
Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the family friendly event! All proceeds go to the firefighters’ families.
Doors open at 2 p.m., music begins at 3 p.m.
