SPOKANE, Wash. — With a massive wraparound porch and patio, a new gastropub in a house built in 1901 is serving up some of the best comfort food around.
A new neighborhood gastropub, Jewel of the North, is now open in Browne’s Addition.
Owners Brooks Thomas and AJ Hansen had been in the restaurant industry for a while and wanted to take the opportunity to run a spot themselves.
Thomas and Hansen wanted their restaurant to support local as well. Jewel of the North uses local ingredients like Spiceology and drinks from Brick West.
Jewel of the North serves great southern-inspired foods like catfish sliders and banana pudding, plus classic cocktails with modern twists.
The gastropub also has as pet-friendly menu with some proceeds going to the Spokane Humane Society.
If you visit, be sure to check out the upstairs bar which is 21+.
Jewel of the North is located on Pacific Avenue and Cannon Street. It’s open Tuesdays-Sundays 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Find out more at JOTNSpokane.com.
