STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. — A man is in the hospital fighting for his life after almost drowning in the Kettle River while trying to save his brother.
According to a GoFundMe page, David Pancoast jumped into the Kettle River to try to save his brother Lucas, who ultimately drowned.
As of Monday evening, David is in the ICU.
4 News Now confirmed there was a fatal drowning with Stevens County Sheriff’s Office.
A GoFundMe is now raising money to support the Pancoast family with medical expenses, funeral costs and time away from work.
