COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Starting this weekend, drivers will see parts of Veterans Memorial Bridge on Interstate 90 reopened to travel.
The Idaho Transportation Department says it will begin reopening all four lanes of I-90 over the bridge on the weekends.
Traffic control will be removed Friday through Sunday evenings. Lane closures will go back into place during the week so crews can finish work on the bridge.
ITD crews began working on the bridge earlier this summer as part of a larger project to repair and preserve several bridges along the Panhandle. Up until now, full-time traffic control has been in place along the bridge.
ITD says it expects the project to wrap up by the end of August.
