GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — A teen driver is facing negligent driving charges for a crash near Vantage Bridge in Grant County that sent three children to the hospital.
According to Washington State Patrol, a 17-year-old boy was driving west on I-90 near Silica Road SW Tuesday around 8 p.m.
WSP says the teen fell asleep at the wheel and crashed in the median rolling.
The driver was not injured. A 10-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl were not wearing seatbelts and taken to the hospital. A 15-year-old boy was wearing a seatbelt but also hospitalized.
WSP says the driver is facing a charge of 2nd-degree negligent driving. Drugs or alcohol were not factors.
