LINCOLN COUNTY, Wash. — Forecasted high winds could cause headaches for firefighters battling a wildfire near Davenport Monday.
According to incident command, the Western Pines Fire has burned about 5,800 acres, or about 9 square miles. The fire remains 0% contained.
On Monday, firefighters anticipate strong forecasted winds to test the strength of fire lines established. Crews will be out checking for any hot spots to quickly engage them.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says Level 3 evacuations, meaning get out now, are still in effect for areas. However the Level 2 evacs, meaning get set, have been downgraded to Level 1, meaning get ready.
