COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — A Washington man was found guilty by a federal jury for shooting at multiple people on the Coeur d’Alene Indian Reservation.
According to the Department of Justice, 50-year-old Jason Bergeron drove to his ex-girlfriend’s home on the reservation and shot a rifle into the home.
The DOJ says Bergerson’s ex, her daughter, son-in-law, and 3-year-old grandson where inside at the time.
Bergeron also shot multiple times toward the daughter and son-in-law as they ran with the grandson. He also threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and pointed the rifle at her multiple times.
Bergeron was convicted of three counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
He faces up to 30 years in prison and a fine of $250,000. Bergeron will be sentenced September 24.
