SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Falls Community College is back open Wednesday after closing due to a wildfire that forced evacuations.
The Spokane Fire Department says multiple fires were intentionally started near the Copper River Apartments and the Spokane River.
The area was quickly evacuated but firefighters were able to get a handle on the fire and evacuations were lifted by 5:20 p.m.
SFCC says incident command determined normal operations at the college’s campus can resume Wednesday.
