Update, 4:30 p.m. The Department of Natural Resources estimates the Hope Fire to be over 1,000 acres.
Level 3 (GO NOW) are still in place. Level 2 (Get Set) evacuations are in place for the area surrounding the Level 3 evacuation zone.
Northport Flat Creek Road will be closed in the evacuation area. Please avoid the area.

Update, 3:41 p.m. Level 3 (GO NOW) evacuations are in place for area around the Three Pines Youth Camp near Kettle Falls.
Evacuations are for people living on Northport Flat Creek Road in Kettle Falls. Anyone living in the area is asked to get to safety immediately.
Stevens County Emergency Management says an evacuation shelter will be set up at Kettle Falls Middle School located at 05 W 11th Ave, Kettle Falls, WA 99141.
The American Red Cross says if able to be done safely, people are encouraged to bring medications, extra clothing, pillows, hygiene supplies and comfort items. Diapers, formulas and toys for children should also be brought if possible.

Update 3:27 p.m. The Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office says the fire is estimated to be 600 acres.

STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. — A new wildfire, dubbed the Hope Fire, is estimated to have already burned several hundred acres about 10 miles southwest of Northport, officials said Monday.
According to the Stevens County Emergency Management (SCEM), crews are responding to the scene, including air support.
Authorities are urging the public to stay out of the area and off the roads to allow responders access. Residents in the surrounding area are advised to prepare for possible evacuation.
SCEM posted an image estimating where the fire is located.
Please avoid the area and if you are in the water clear space for responding air units.
SREM said if you need to evacuate, we are currently working with Red Cross to locate an evacuation site in Kettle Falls.
