ROSALIA, Wash. — Evacuations have been reduced for the 698-acre Siegel Fire near Rosalia.
According to fire officials, containment on the fire grew to 11% overnight.
The Siegel Fire began on July 2 between Bonnie Lake and South Texas Ferry Road.
On Friday, crews work to build containment lines and mop up areas of the fire. The fire growth was largely due to burn lines being used to get rid of grassy areas near the fire.
Crews will continue mop up work on Saturday and work along the fire perimeter to build more containment.
Evacuations were reduced from Level 3 to Level 2 (Be Set) evacuations for the area between Bonnie Lane and South Wells Road.
