SPOKANE, Wash. – A Spokane screen printing company is selling t-shirts to raise money for firefighters and families affected by Sunday’s deadly ambush in Coeur d’Alene.
BSI Apparel is printing “CDA Strong” shirts and donating 100% of profits from the $20 shirts to affected firefighters and families.
“We were all wondering what we could do here in Spokane,” said Greg Brunette, CEO of BSI Apparel.
The company started taking orders online and has received about 20 to 30 orders. The shirts are available online and at BSI’s Spokane location on North Lee Street.
“Fortunately we have the capabilities of pulling this off and raising money for people. This is not our first gig and we love helping the community,” Brunette said.
BSI Apparel raised thousands of dollars for victims of the Freeman High School shooting and did a similar fundraiser for 9/11 victims.
“All the profits will go to the families. They’re going to go directly to the families, we’re going to reach out to them during this process,” Brunette said.
Brunette hopes to partner with area stores to sell the shirts in more locations. Stores have already contacted him about partnering to raise money.
