SPOKANE, Wash. — Independence Day is this Friday and many facilities will be closed in Spokane in observance of the holiday.
On Friday, July 4, the city says City Hall and other city facilities will be closed. Garbage, recycling and food and yard waste services will be a day late, meaning normal Friday services will take place instead on Saturday.
All Spokane Public Library locations, the Spokane Municipal Court, Community Justice Services and the city’s aquatic centers will also be closed.
Spokane 311 and Development Services Center employees will also not be available on Friday. You can still submit 311 requests online at any time by clicking here.
The city said on-street paid parking meters and kiosks will be free on Friday, though all parking rules and time limits still apply.
Splash pads and golf courses will be open for Independence Day.
