CLEARWATER COUNTY, Idaho — Containment continues to grow for a 144-acre wildfire burning near Highway 12 in the Clearwater National Forest.
The Post Fire began on June 10 just west of Post Office Creek in the Lochsa River Corridor.
As of Saturday morning, the fire is 80% contained.
Fire officials say access and terrain on this fire have been difficult because the fire is burning on steep and rocky slopes.
Crews are finishing mopping up and securing fire perimeters on the main fire and two large spot fires.
Officials say rain and cooler temperatures will help in putting out the fire.
Highway 12 is still open and there are no Forest closures because of the fire.
