MEAD, Wash. — With the arrival of warm weather, strawberry picking season is officially underway at Green Bluff.
Beginning this week, visitors can find more than ten varieties of strawberries ready for picking at farms across Green Bluff.
Jason Morrell, owner of Walters’ Fruit Ranch, said favorable weather conditions have led to a bountiful and flavorful crop this year.
“It’s a whole experience to come out and pick your own fruit, and you can taste the difference. That’s the slogan for Green Bluff, and it means a lot. You really can taste the difference.”
Walters’ Fruit Ranch is now open for strawberry picking. Meanwhile, Siemers Farm is kicking off its Strawberry Festival this weekend, offering another way to enjoy the season’s sweetest crop. You can find more information about all the growers and events on Green Bluff here.
