SPOKANE, Wash. — More than 100 nonprofit organizations across Eastern Washington and North Idaho will receive funding to expand youth programs after Innovia Foundation announced $1.25 million in grants Tuesday.
Innovia Foundation will award $1,250,414 in grants to 113 organizations across the region, emphasizing youth engagement initiatives through its annual Community Grants Program.
“This year, we continue that legacy by funding impactful projects that engage youth in community activities, strengthen relationships, and reduce isolation,” said Innovia CEO Shelly O’Quinn.
Major recipients include the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture ($15,000 for teen programs), Spokane Public Schools ($10,000 for after-school programming), and Partners with Families & Children: Spokane ($15,000 for child abuse survivor programs).
Rural communities received significant funding. The City of Republic received $15,000 for playground expansion, while Pomeroy School District received $15,000 for music program revival.
The Asotin County Food Bank Association received $15,000 to provide weekend food to 228 children weekly during the school year.
In North Idaho, Family Promise received $15,000 for family homelessness programs, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Kootenai County was awarded $15,000 for summer programming.
