Only Miley!
On Friday night, Miley Cyrus hit the Tribeca Film Festival to premiere her new “visual album,” Something Beautiful. Sounds artsy and cool, right? Well… not everyone got the memo that this was a film premiere—not a concert.
After the screening, Miley sat down for a Q&A, and things got a little chaotic when fans started yelling for her to sing. One woman even shouted, “We thought this was a concert! We paid $800!” Another asked, “Are you actually gonna sing?!”
Clearly, some folks were not prepared for a quiet night at the movies.
Eventually, someone yelled out a request for “The Climb,” and Miley—being the icon that she is—told them, “You have to start it.” And just like that, a little spontaneous a cappella moment happened.
Afterward, some of the rowdy fans tried to explain themselves, saying they bought their tickets from resale sites where the event was advertised as a concert. Yikes.
Moral of the story? Read the fine print—and maybe don’t yell at Miley Cyrus at a film festival.
