CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. — The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office is hosting workshops next week to support community members on ways to navigate grief and loss.
Topics at the town halls will include how children understand and process grief, age-appropriate ways to talk about death, supporting families through loss and community resources for healing.
The town halls will also feature guest speaker Julie Boyer, the executive director of Pacific Northwest Support Services. Boyer specializes in training first responders on grief, trauma and pediatric deaths.
The event is open to anyone impacted by loss.

Monday, June 9 at Leavenworth City Hall from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.Tuesday, June 10 at Chelan Fire Station 7 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.Wednesday, June 11 at East Wenatchee City Hall from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
