SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A 27-time convicted felon was arrested for stealing construction materials from businesses across Spokane County.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, 49-year-old Shawn C. Wallwork is facing multiple charges of theft, possession of stolen property, burglary and trafficking stolen property.
The first burglary was on May 7, 2025, where deputies say Wallwork stole around $3,750 worth of new lumber, OSB sheets and a large amount of lap siding from a business in north Spokane County.
Wallwork was originally arrested on May 15 for charges related to the first burglary. He was released on his own recognizance after appearing in Spokane County Superior Court.
Wallwork also cut a fence and disabled cameras at a Spokane Valley business on May 27. He ended up steaming around $3,000 worth of roof underlayment at that time.
SCSO said on June 2, deputies stopped Wallwork’s truck and arrested him again.
While in custody, detectives searched his home on South Felts Road and a job site near East 7th Avenue and South Sherman Street.
Wallwork was booked into Spokane County Jail for burglary and theft charges. He is also being held for the charges from his May 15 arrest.
On Friday, detectives linked Wallwork to more burglaries at a business near East Francis Avenue and North Florida Street. The business said Wallwork stole around $13,100 worth of construction materials and caused around $2,340 in damages to the business.
Wallwork was charged with burglary, malicious mischief and theft for this latest development.
