BONNER COUNTY, Idaho — A father and son duo were cited for running an unlicensed paving company scam in Bonner County.
According to the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office, the company, JPAC Asphalt, would provide a quote, offer a discounted price if you paid up front, take the money and never return to perform the work.
The Sheriff’s Office said these companies will often travel from state-to-state with this practice.
Sales flyers for the company had an address for a UPS distribution center in Coeur d’Alene.
The Sheriff’s Office says the driver representing the company was not licensed and possessed a Texas ID. The car he was driving also had expired temporary tags issued out of Utah.
The passenger has a non-extradition warrant out of New Mexico.
The Sheriff’s Office said the pair was cited and told to leave the area.
