LEWISTON, Idaho — Two kittens and a dog were rescued in an apartment fire Sunday night.
According to the Lewiston Fire Department, the fire broke out around 6 p.m. at an apartment building near 5th Street and 18th Avenue.
Fire crews used a fire extinguisher to knock down the fire and helped one person out of the apartment. That person was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation.
They also rescued two kittens and a dog who made it out safely.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The damage is estimated at $3,000.
