SPOKANE, Wash. — If you have travel plans next week and hitting the skies, don’t be surprised to see emergency responders as you take off.
The Spokane International Airport is conducting a full-scale emergency training exercise Wednesday, June 4 from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
The training is for the airport’s Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting department and local responders to train for a real emergency. It will include a simulated aircraft incident with volunteer “victims.”
Spokane Airport says the training will not impact scheduled flights.
Spokane Airport is required to conduct this training every three years by the Federal Aviation Administration.
