SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokanites will gather together to raise awareness and support for those living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in a special walking event on Saturday.
On May 31, Walk MS will host a community walk to raise funds and make a difference for those living with MS.
According to the National MS Society, MS is a chronic disease that affects the central nervous system.
Participants can walk either a one-mile or three-mile route. All routes are accessible and mobility device-friendly.
The walk will utilize the ‘Circles of Support’ to help participants self-identify their place in the MS community.
Those with an orange circle are people living with MS, whereas green circles are for those who love or support someone with MS and yellow circles are for those who support Walk MS’s mission.
The walk will begin in Kendall Yards (1335 W. Summit Pkwy). The site will open at 8:30 a.m., with the ceremony starting at 9:45 a.m. and the walk kickoff at 10 a.m.
Registration is free. Those who donate $100 will receive a Walk MS t-shirt.
