KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — The Post Falls School District’s multi-million dollar supplemental levy appears to be passing in Kootenai County’s Consolidated Election Tuesday night.
As of 8:45 p.m. on May 20, 68.8% of voters are in favor of the levy.
If passed, the levy would provide the school with nearly $6 million each year, for two years, replacing the roughly $12 million levy set to expire in June.
The levy would pay for extracurriculars activities in athletics and school safety resources like surveillance cameras and campus security.
The levy requires a simple majority (more than 50%) of votes to pass.
Votes will continue to be counted over the next few days and will be officially certified on May 30.
