It’s tough times for National Parks across the country — and one park in Arizona is pulling out all the stops. Desperate times, meet desperate measures: welcome to the age of twerking for trees.
Yep, Petrified Forest National Park is leaning all the way in by using twerking videos of Megan Thee Stallion to grab attention on TikTok. (Because apparently we’re that easy to market to?)
After the viral dance clips roll, the park promotes its annual pass — just $80 to explore millions of years of history — with some very cheeky sexual innuendo.
We’re talking lines like:
“Petrified Forest is here to rock your world… and yes, the wood is still hard after 200 million years.”
Or:
“The wood is so rock solid, it’s basically nature’s Viagra.”
And they’re not done. One post boldly declares:
“Every bit helps keep Petrified Forest standing tall and rock hard… and really, who doesn’t love a good, firm piece of wood?”
(Can we get a ranger to blush-check, please?)
The content ranges from PG-13 to borderline NSFW, depending on how deep you scroll. There’s playful marketing, and then there’s… this.
If nothing else, it’s a bold new era in park promotion. Will the thirst traps translate into ticket sales? Stay tuned.
@petrifiedforestnatpark Do you want to help the National Park Service? Keep these ancient logs rock solid by supporting Petrified Forest.
