The Gonzaga men’s Rowing Team is headed to the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championship this summer, according to a press release from the University.
On May 17 and 18, the team competed at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship on Lake Natoma in Gold River, California.
During the event, Gonzaga’s Varsity Eight boat came in second behind UC San Diego, qualifying the boat for the IRA National Championship Regatta in Camden, New Jersey at the end of May.
Head Coach Dan Gehn said the competition was a “great day of racing for us.”
