SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Fire crews rescued four teens stuck on a cliff near the Stevens Creek Trailhead early Sunday morning, according to Spokane Valley Fire Department.
Just after midnight on May 18, SVFD responded to a report of a group of teens stranded on a cliff near the Rocks of Sharon in the Dishman Hills Conservation Area.
According to SVFD, one of the teens was separated from the group after falling roughly 20 feet and suffering a leg injury.
When rescue crews arrived, they found three teens about 75 feet up on the cliff, and the fourth teen 50 feet up.
SVFD, along with crewmembers from Spokane Fire Department, Spokane County Fire District 8 and Spokane County Search and Rescue, worked to reach and safely lower all four teens.
The rescue took about an hour-and-a-half.
The teen with a leg injury was taken to a nearby hospital, and all three other teens were released to their parents at the scene.
