On Thursday evening, runners gathered at Fleet Feet Spokane for a pre-race shakeout run, easing nerves and getting ready for the big day. Brands were on hand to demo shoes and help participants find the right gear for race day.
Packet pickup for Bloomsday begins Friday at the Spokane Convention Center. There, participants can collect their race bibs, get lineup information and browse the trade show. Packet pickup runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Sunday’s 12-kilometer course starts and ends in downtown Spokane. Along the route, runners will find water stations, first aid and port-a-potties.
Thirty Bloomsday bands will provide music and motivation, whether participants are chasing a personal record or taking it easy.
Registration for Bloomsday remains open until Saturday, though prices increase after Friday. For more information and to register, visit www.bloomsdayrun.org.
