SPOKANE, Wash. – Lotus Chesbrough, a Spokane Valley business owner, says it feels like she lives a double life.
She manages her restaurant ‘Little Euro’ by day and is a Table Soccer World Champion by night.
“You know I think back and can’t even remember all the tournaments I won,” said Chesbrough.
A moment she says she’ll never forget though: being inducted into the Table Soccer Hall of Fame in 2018.
“That’s like the highest you can go.”
It’s a decorated professional career 48 years in the making. And this June, Lotus will head to the World Cup in Spain representing Team USA in four different events.
It’s the second time she’ll be on the world cup stage – but Lotus is hoping to come back with her first World Cup title after placing third in 2006.
Until the international trip, its practice at least three times a week for four hours a day.
“And I’ll invite friends over so we’ll play and play and play.”
