KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — If your kid is always on the phone, computer or game console, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office has some important tips to help keep your child safe in our digital age.
On May 15, KCSO, along with Kootenai County Juvenile Probation and Idaho Crimes Against Children Task Force will host “Scams, Substance Abuse and the Criminal Risks of Social Media on Our Kids.”
The event is meant to be educational for parents and caregivers and provide useful information about what your kids may encounter online and how to facilitate important conversations with your children on internet safety.
Experts from each of the host organizations will be present to answer questions.
All Kootenai County citizens are encouraged to attend. Please note that the subject discussed could be considered graphic.
The event will take place on May 15, with refreshments served at 5 p.m. and the presentation beginning at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at Candlelight Christian Fellowship, 5725 N. Pioneer Drive in Coeur d’Alene.
