SPOKANE, Wash. — A Spokane Public Schools librarian received a prestigious award in recognition of her hard work and dedication.
Rachel Peters, Library Information Specialist at Hutton Elementary School, recently received the 2025 Teacher Librarian of the Year Award from Northwest Council for Computer Education (NCCE).
The honor is awarded to teacher librarians who help students and staff innovate with computers and other technology, go above and beyond to enhance technology integration, continue their professional development and actively participate in NCCE.
“We explore, we create, we build, we read, we find great books, but we do so much more than that because it’s a 21st century curriculum,” Peters said.
