Five people were asleep inside the residence at the time of the shooting, including a 19-year-old and a one-year-old child, who narrowly escaped injury as a bullet passed within three feet of them.
MLPD said they quickly identified a suspect vehicle parked near the intersection of Knolls Vista Drive and West Ridge Road.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for both the residence and the vehicle.
MLPD said detectives recovered 12 firearms and evidence of cocaine sales, with some firearms matched the caliber used in the drive-by shooting, and one was confirmed to have been stolen from North Bend, Wash.
A 14-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, both from Moses Lake, were booked on charges of assault and drive-by shooting, along with 18-year-old Mario Pichardo, who was also arrested and booked on charges of first-degree assault and drive-by shooting.
Detectives believe the shooting may have been an act of retaliation for a previous homicide on Loop Drive on March 21, 2025.
The investigation is ongoing.
