SPOKANE, Wash. — The driver of the car shot at during a drive-by shooting in Moses Lake is engaged to a Moses Lake Police Detective.
On March 21, 14-year-old Mario Amezcua was in a car when he was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting. Four other people in the car with Amezcua were also shot and hospitalized for their injuries.
According to Moses Lake Police Department, the driver of the targeted car was 26-year-old Crystal Santoyo. She is engaged to MLPD detective Juan Serrato.
Santoyo and the three other surviving victims have been released from the hospital.
On March 24, a 14-year-old was arrested for the shooting and charged with first-degree murder.
As of Thursday afternoon, U.S. Marshals are still searching for two additional suspects, 20-year-old Jose Beltran and 18-year-old Matthew Valdez.
