SPOKANE, Wash. — As children and teenagers spend more time immersed in technology, concerns about their independence and mental health continue to grow.
Dr. Jean M. Twenge, a renowned expert with over 180 scientific publications and books, has conducted extensive research on the effects of technology on young people. Her findings reveal that today’s youth are more dependent on digital devices than ever before, with significant consequences for their development and mental well-being.
On March, 25 in Spokane, Dr. Twenge will offer valuable insights for parents on fostering independence while managing technology use. She will present ten essential rules for “future-proof” parenting, providing practical strategies to balance screen time with real-world experiences.
Parents attending will leave with actionable strategies to help their families manage the challenges of technology in a healthy and balanced way.
The event will take place at Shadle Park High School, 4327 North Ash Street, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
Spots are limited, so registration is highly encouraged.
