CURLEW, Wash. (March 19, 2025) — The Ferry County Sherrif’s Office has identified the two deceased individuals from a suspected murder-suicide in the Curlew area on Thursday as Lisa Blakeney and her boyfriend, Curtis Owens.
According to authorities, Blakeney, a Deputy District Court Clerk in Ferry County, is believed to have been killed in an incident apparently carried out by Owens, investigators said.
Ferry County Sheriff’s Deputy Edwin Lopez, who sustained a gunshot wound during the incident, was released from medical care earlier today and is expected to make a full recovery.
