PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State sophomore guard Isaiah Watts announced on social media Tuesday he’s entering the transfer portal after two seasons in Pullman.
“This decision was not easy,” Watts said in his post. “I have nothing but love for my teammates, my coaches, and everyone who has supported me along the way. But after much thought, I’ve decided to enter the transfer portal to explore opportunities that are best fit for my future.”
Watts missed 10 games due to an injury this season, but still averaged 11 points per game, while shooting 35% from three-point range.
He was one of only two Cougars who stayed at WSU after head coach David Riley was hired, following Kyle Smith’s departure.
Watts is the son of former University of Washington star Donald Watts and the grandson of former Seattle Supersonics star Slick Watts, who passed away Saturday.
The transfer portal officially opens on March 24.
