SPOKANE, Wash. — If you’ve been thinking about fixing that leaky faucet, now is a good time to get out the toolbox!
Starting March 17, Spokane is participating in the Environmental Protection Agency’s annual ‘2025 Fix-A-Leak Week Challenge.’
Using the leak detection guide (pictured above), participants can take a photo of themselves fixing a leaky faucet in their home and submit it to the City of Spokane.
Submissions will be entered into a raffle to win a Flume Smart Water Monitor, a device that tracks water usage and instantly detects leaks.
According to the EPA, the combined annual household leak waste in the United States amounts to 1 trillion gallons nationwide, on average.
The challenge is open until March 23 and the winner will be announced shortly after.
