COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — The tailgates of two separate GMC pickup trucks caught fire in Coeur d’Alene last weekend.
According to the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department, the first truck caught fire in the tailgate and threatened a single-family home. Six hours later, a separate pickup truck caught fire in the parking garage of a high-rise building.
Fire crews were able to respond to both fires and put them out successfully. No injuries were reported in either fire.
The fire department says both GMC pickups had speakers in the tailgate and seem to be isolated incidents.
The fires are being investigated by the Idaho State Fire Marshal’s Office.
