AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — A rescue pup turned police K9 enjoyed the sunshine in Airway Heights Saturday afternoon.
K9 Rozzo is a Shepherd mix with a lot of energy. He was a rescue who was ruled out of being fit to be a family dog. Instead, he was sent to K9 training and eventually ended up as Airway Heights Police officer Clay Pierson’s trusted partner.
Officer Pierson and Rozzo finished drug detection training last year through the Department of Corrections.
K9 Rozzo officially joined the police force in April of last year.
