SOAP LAKE, Wash. — Two teens were arrested for theft at a marijuana shop in Soap Lake.
According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the shop on 261 SR-28 West around 1:30 a.m. Friday for an alarm.
GCSO says deputies did not see any suspects when they arrived but knew there was an attempted burglary at the same shop last week so stayed at the location for a stakeout.
Deputies say not long after, two suspects were seen in the parking lot stuffing items into a bag.
The two suspects and one of them, a 16-year-old, was caught. Deputies say the boy had several sealed packages from the store.
He was arrested for theft, burglary, and possession of a controlled substance.
The other suspect, another 16-year-old boy, was located and arrested Saturday.
Both were booked into the Chelan County Juvenile Justice Center.
